The Noel Lunch, now in its 24th year, is a staple in the city’s seasonal festivities and taking to the stage once again is comedian Fred MacAulay who will entertain guests with his trademark wit. Fred will also host the hotly-anticipated auction which is packed with exclusive prizes and exciting gift ideas.
Held at the Glasgow Marriott Hotel on Friday 1 December, guests will be treated to fizz on arrival and a delicious three course meal, as well as secret entertainment to be revealed on the day!
The ever-popular Noel Lunch is Quarriers’ flagship fundraising event and raises vital funds to help the charity continue to deliver and develop its life-changing services. Over the years, the annual fundraiser has raised over £1,000,000 for people supported by the charity.
This year, money raised will support the work of Quarriers’ Head Injury Service based in Renfrewshire which helps people aged between 17 and 64 who have experienced an acquired head injury.
Alice Harper, Quarriers Chief Executive Officer, said: “Quarriers’ Head Injury Service works with those directly affected as well as their families and carers, providing practical and emotional support to help people to come to terms with their condition and cope with daily life. I’m so pleased funds from this year’s Noel Lunch will go towards this service and I look forward to welcoming you all on Friday the 1st of December.”
Phil Genoe, Chairman of Quarriers Noel Lunch Committee, said: “The Noel Lunch is a truly special day where people come together to kick-start the festive season and raise funds which really make a difference to the lives of so many. I am thrilled to be a part of what’s set to be another spectacular Noel Lunch.”
Tickets for this year’s Noel Lunch are selling fast, but there is still time to book your place. Tickets are priced at £50 per person. For more information please see quarriers.org.uk/events/noel-lunch-2017/
For anyone unable to wait until the 1st of December to spread Christmas cheer, Quarriers is hosting its annual Christmas Fayre this Saturday, 18 November at Kilmacolm Community Centre in The Cargill Centre on Lochwinnoch Road, Kilmacolm.
Running from 10am to 2pm, the fayre features stalls over three floors with all sorts of Christmas gift ideas and inspiration including stalls from Handbag Parties, My Moon Garden, Wee Jaggy Plates and Big Shed Crafts. There’s a Santa’s grotto for little ones to enjoy, as well as a raffle and tombola and a pop-up café.
Admission is £2.50 for an adult ticket and £1.50 for a child ticket. Family tickets (two adults and two children) can be purchased for £6. All proceeds will go towards Quarriers’ vital services.
Quarriers’ annual Festival of Choirs will take place on Sunday, 10 December at Princes Square shopping centre. Here school, church and community choirs will sing festive favourites to raise money for the social care charity.
